About Me

My name is Alanna.  I was born in Utah and lived the majority of my life there.  However, I spent some time in my early childhood on the east coast and fell in love with it there!  When I decided to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I secretly hoped and prayed that I would be sent back east.  Low and behold, I was!  I was called to labor in the Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Mission from Sept. 4, 2013 - Mar. 17, 2015.  It was truly the best year and a half I have ever experienced.  It had its ups and downs but overall, I have no regrets and will forever be grateful for my decision to serve!

My mission helped me the most by helping me to discover myself.  I absolutely love music and theatre but knew that I didn't want to pursue a career in either profession.  It was on my mission that I recognized my true love of people and working with them.  I also found that I thrive in high-stress situations and when in said situations, become incredibly organized.  With the skills and passions that I have, I found that pursuing a career in event planning just made sense and so far, has been the funnest and best decision I have made besides to serve the Lord.  So now I try to use my talents and energy to serve the Lord still in my everyday life.  Sometimes that is easier said than done but somehow, it always works out.
